Our Story
People of Christ Ministries was founded in 2024 as a response to the shifting doctrinal landscape within the United Methodist Church. Pastor Brian Willingham, who had faithfully served as a United Methodist pastor since 2014 across four different congregations, found himself at a crossroads after significant doctrinal changes were introduced within the denomination.
Recognizing a growing concern among fellow believers who shared his unease, Pastor Willingham made the difficult decision to resign from his position. This pivotal moment sparked meaningful discussions with others who were similarly disheartened by the changes. United by a shared vision of faith and community, these conversations led to the creation of People of Christ Ministries—a church built on the principles of unity, biblical truth, and a deep commitment to Christ.
People of Christ Ministries stands as a testament to the power of faith and fellowship, dedicated to serving its community and nurturing spiritual growth in all who seek to follow Christ.
